Swing hard on Hit-A-Thon day!
-
We raise funds by each foot of distance a ball is hit!
Here’s an example:Grandma wants to pledge $2 for every foot her athlete hits the ball.
The player sends Grandma their individual fundraising link
Grandma enters her pledge and card information online.
Fast forward to the event day, each athlete gets 5-7 swings, and their furthest hit is measured.
If the player’s furthest hit is 100 feet, Grandma’s card will be charged $200 in support of that athlete!
A portion of the funds raised will go straight to the athlete’s individual dues, and another portion will go to that athlete’s particular branch for facility upkeep, new equipment, etc.
It’s that simple! It’s a fun, motivating way for friends and family to cheer on their player while helping support both the team and the organization.
-
Each athlete (softball and baseball) has the option to take part in the Hit-A-Thon, where family and friends can pledge donations to support their effort.
50% of each player’s proceeds will go directly toward their individual dues.
50% of each player’s proceeds will go towards their particular branch - improving facilities, training resources, and overall experiences for our athletes.
However, if there is enough buy-in and participation, a higher percentage will go back to the athlete. Because of the great participation last year, players received 60% of their funds raised as a credit for their dues!
